Helping
Associates, Inc. (HAI) was co-founded in 1982 by
Dr. Antonio Estrada and Dr. Joan McGillicuddy, who
serve as Co-Directors of this organization. Their
commitment is to improving the quality of life in
Arizona, and HAI has been serving Central Arizona
since the founding date.
Dr. Antonio Estrada, Ph.D. holds a Doctoral Degree
in Human Services with a specialization in
Counseling Psychology. He is a Co-Director of HAI;
and is a warm, compassionate, intuitive therapist
and teacher.
Dr. Joan McGillicuddy, Ph.D., L.P.C. is a
Co-Director/Clinical Director of HAI, a Licensed
Professional Counselor who holds a Doctoral Degree
in Human Services with a specialization in
Counseling Psychology. She is a dynamic, energetic
and humorous therapist and teacher.
All Associate Counselors are well trained and
skilled in understanding the needs of individuals
and offering viable solutions to life's challenges.
Nearly all Associate Counselors are licensed by the
State of Arizona.
Dr. McGillicuddy and Dr. Estrada have built their
practice to the current level of employing 17
clinicians and 10 support staff to serve over 750
individuals weekly.
The Clinic is accredited through the prestigious
Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations (JCAHO), a national seal of
excellence.
